1st December 2025 – Mo Chùrachan (My Beloved)
This is a lullaby and a sad one at that! Like many Gaelic lullabies it’s very sad! A mother is picking berries and she lays her baby on the ground. When she comes back to where she thinks she left her baby she can’t find the wee one. She spends the times searching and finds many things that make sense but can’t find her baby
Mod Gold Medal winner Màiri MacMillan is a South Uist native and celebrated Gaelic singer, weaving the Gaelic language into a stunningly contemporary sound.
