20th December – Hi Horo Tha Mi ‘n Dùil Ri Bhi Thilleadh This song was written by Angus MacLellan from Grogarry, South Uist whilst he was living on the mainland. He hopes to return to Uist of the hills and the machair. He wishes he had never left and if health allows him, he will return. A walk along the white beaches of Uist that he refers to even in mid-winter when the days are at their shortest is so refreshing and great way to clear the head!
Mod Gold Medal winner Màiri MacMillan is a South Uist native and celebrated Gaelic singer, weaving the Gaelic language into a stunningly contemporary sound. With airplay on BBC Alba and a nomination for Gaelic Singer of the Year, she delivers captivating performances that are both deeply rooted and boldly innovative.
